Do you do professional hires?

Yes we do! Please take a look at our Pro-Hire page for more information.

Do I need to make an appointment if I want to come in?

It is not always necessary to make an appointment to see us. For Student Hire, general shop sales and to book in repairs you can drop in at any time. If you are looking to buy an instrument, we would always ask that you make an appointment. We have a practise room and like to be able to provide you with the space to try instruments in your chosen price range. It also gives us time to prepare a good selection for you to view. If you are planning to visit us on a Saturday, we would advise that you phone ahead as it is probably our busiest day!

How do I hire a student instrument?

It is advisable to give us a call before you come in to make sure we have the right size instrument available for you. If you are unsure as to what size you need, we are happy to measure up the player when they come to the shop. We keep a good selection of student hire instruments in all sizes and will usually have something available so that you can leave with your instrument on the day. You can also hire a student instrument from us online here.

How long can I hire a student instrument for?

If you come into the shop to arrange your instrument rental there is no minimum or maximum hire period.  Hire fees are paid monthly in advance by direct debit and you are free to cease renting at any time.  If you arrange your rental through our Online Rental Scheme, there is a 3 month minimum hire period.  You will be charged for the first 3 months rental when you sign up and will also be charged a delivery fee.
