7/8 Northern Italian violin c1730 labelled "Andrea Amati in Cremona anno MDCXXII"

This is a very beautiful and sweet sounding instrument. It is evidently an instrument of great quality, despite our uncertainty with regards to its maker. The varnish is gorgeous, and the design is delicate with a fantastically beautiful two-piece back. This violin would make a perfect instrument for a player looking for a slightly smaller instrument, particularly for orchestral or chamber playing.
