3/4 Northern Italian Double Bass, attr. to the Brothers Carcassi, Unlabelled, Violin Outline, Flat Back. A really interesting bass suitable for Orchestral or Solo playing. The C-bouts were subtly reshaped many years ago to facilitate ease of playing. The Head is majestic with three of the original cogs and later, well-matched 4th. The flat, slab-cut Front typical of many Italian basses with lovely flamed ribs and Back. A wonderful sounding instrument fitted with C extension.
